Been struggling with this card under Ubuntu Ibex (8.10), just gone to Jaunty (9.04).
Has any attempt to get it going using snd-ca0106 been abandoned and should I focus on hda-intel?
Using ubuntu alsa-source package I've managed to massage this driver by generating a new ca0106_main.patch

I'm writing an alsa driver for an ARM9 device (no X available).
Now I have to test if PAUSE_PUSH and PAUSE_RELEASE inside "pcm_trigger function" work.
I'm now testing my driver using alsa-play but I can't find out a way to pause & resume the streaming using it.
Does anybody know how I can easily pause and restart my streaming using a textual tool?.

When I use sound programs which uses MIDI output, the whole system freeze (keyboard and mouse not respond...).
For example: I start Rosegarden. I import MIDI-file. Then I select to use my synth as an output device (Korg X5D, if there is some things in midi which differs from synth to synth in someway). Then I press play and everything works fine. But then, suddenly, the music stops, mouse...

The problem seems to be related to the PCM volume control in the ALSA Mixer. Raising or lowering the volume has no effect. I can play MP3s and CDs, but there is still no System Sounds or Flash Player audio.

After upgrading to the current version of Flash Player 9 (final) it still has no sound. Also I am not getting any system sounds. The only things that work are playing MP3s in RealPlayer and Limewire.

Sorry for this post. Playback of MP3s seems to be working as normal under Linux... the bug just happens to affect Flash Player 9. I am running the Beta of flashplayer, so I will upgrade and see if that fixes the problem.
