What version of Alliance are you using? If your using v1.0.6 you might want to try the latest beta found here https://sourceforge.net/projects/alliancep2p/forums/forum/568436/topic/3404716
If the problem still happens then could you give us a little more info about what you and your friend's settings are set too. Are either of you using DNS? Do you both have dynamic ips (ie. Your ISP changes...

I have two computers running Alliance. When I start up Alliance, they almost always connect with no problems. Unfortuantely after running for a couple of days, the computers stop talking to one-another. Trying to force a reconnect doesn't seem to help. I have to shut down Alliance on both computers and start them back up again.
Is this normal? how can I troubleshoot the cause and resolve the...

Ok so I forwarded my port and followed the directions on portfoward.com for my router perfectly. Everything happened exactly as it was supposed to with hardly any difficulties. I tested the ports with the port checker software and it says both tcp and udp ports are open. Everything should be good right, nope, when i click the invite friend button it still gives me the "you cannot invite...

We'll add it to our todo list. Once the localized database is finished things like this should be very simple to implement.

I was wondering if it was possible to sort the list of shared files by age. Right now files are sorted by name so it is hard to determine what the new files are.
Take Care.

Hi Folks,
I'm using the newest BETA and just realised, that Alliance makes use of UPnP for portforwarding. Sadly it alwas forwards to IP 127.0.1.1 . That way, it even breaks the right manual forwarding (but this may be a router-thing.)
It works with other apps.
Regards,
M.
