    If I remember correctly, there were roughly 90 single-core machines attached at one time and things were operating correctly. (This was not my research, but hearsay.) The Manager does not have to be nearly as capable as you seem to imply. Predominately, it has to be capable of running whichever database storage system you're running; SQL Server, etc. It can become a bottleneck mostly as a...

  • Grid Manager Capacities

    I’m getting ready to go into production with a grid of approximately 100 dual core Executors. I'm running the 1.0.6 code and both the Manager and Executors are running as services. The most cores I’ve ever had connected to a single Grid Manger prior to this is about 60. I’m looking for advice on how capable the Manager needs to be; number of cpu’s, Gigs of memory... How many Executors...

    Verify your configuration files. If you're running the manager service make sure that both of the Alchemi.Manager.config.xml files are correct. There is one in the program files folder and one in the documents and settings folder. Somewhere like this: C:\Documents and Settings\Alchemi_user\Application Data\Alchemi\Manager\Alchemi.Manager.config.xml. Since you re-installed they may be...
