The Active Defense Harbinger Distribution (ADHD) is a Linux distro based on Ubuntu LTS. It comes with many tools aimed at active defense preinstalled and configured. The purpose of this distribution is to aid defenders by giving them tools to "strike back" at the bad guys.
ADHD has tools whose functions range from interfering with the attackers' reconnaissance to compromising the attackers' systems. Innocent bystanders will never notice anything out of the ordinary as the active defense mechanisms are triggered by malicious activity such as network scanning or connecting to restricted services.

I have downloaded this project and have not had success getting honeyd or Nova to run. any tricks or tips?
I'm a autodidact digital security student. I've started to use ADHD in dual boot with Kali.
This project has been exceptionally useful. The inbuilt documentation is is great and most everything is self explanatory. Exactly what a good security tool should be.
I was handed this operating system a few weeks ago and told to configure it up as a honey pot on a small network. I'm surprised how many great tools come with this OS. It has some genius features and I wish this would become a serious distribution. This has now become my main honey pot OS.
Great software, thank you.
