A secure, optimized and modular encryption class written in Flash's ActionScript scripting language.
Project appears dead
I'm redesigning the library to work in ActionScript 2.0 and am going to take the time to get the optimized versions available as soon as possible. The new version will contain more ciphers and I'll also be working on implementing public key ciphers and hash ciphers. Please let me know if there are any suggestions or comments. I am available via email and via IRC; #actioncrypt on EFnet. This new version will also address the bugs that were inherent in teh current version.
I'm now accepting donations. If you feel ActionCrypt is worth your while to use, but don't/can't help develop it, please send me a donation. I have a ton of other paying projects and it's not economical for me to work on ActionCrypt. At the moment, I'm not a high-paid developer (and we'll leave my financial status at that). I've received offers from several people who wish to help; my last current offer looks promising but, again, I've not received any replies to my replies. Guys, if you think you have time to help, but are not sure, please don't offer. I respond with lengthy emails explaining the status of the project, what I'd like to get done and what I need for the project. I also received an email from somebody who had implemented Rijndael encryption in ActionScript. Can you please send this to me again? My email archives from that point have been lost; I'd really appreciate it if you would send this to me. I've also updated the license to GPL. I'm a fan of the BSD license and will eventually switch over to a BSD-like license. At this point, I'm restricting what you can do with the software so that I can get modifications to the software back to me. I don't see that people are actually doing this, so I've made the license more restrictive. I want to get this project to a finished state.
