Notes: This is the first development release of what will eventually become EVMS 2.0. Available files for download: evms-1.1.0-pre5.tar.gz - The main source code tree. evms-1.1.0-pre4.tar.gz - The main source code tree. evms-1.1.0-pre3.tar.gz - The main source code tree. evms-1.1.0-pre2.tar.gz - The main source code tree. evms-1.1.0-pre1.tar.gz - The main source code tree. This is currently a pre-release, so only the source code package is available. Kernel patches are available for 2.4 kernels up to 2.4.19-rc3, and for 2.5 kernels 2.5.25 and 2.5.27. The EVMS kernel code is still being updated for the 2.5 kernel, and currently the OS/2, BBR, and Snapshot plugins do not compile on 2.5. Also, since this is a pre-release of a developement package, you should use the appropriate level of caution when using this release! It contains several new features which have not undergone extensive testing yet! In other words, you probably shouldn't use this version on any critical systems. *** Important Information About The New Major Number *** As of release 1.1.0-pre4, EVMS has been assigned a new major number. The old major, 63, was reserved for experimental drivers. The new major, 117, will be assigned to EVMS permanently. Please see http://evms.sf.net/new_major.html for details on how the new major number might affect you. If you encounter any problems or bugs, please send email to the EVMS mailing list (evms-devel@lists.sf.net).
