Notes: <p>This is the canonical document for the Intel i386 processor: a document anyone writing an operating system for the x86 must read.</p> <p>I have converted the original CP437 text to UTF-8 so that the ASCII art diagrams appear correctly, given the appropriate font and text editor. For example, this file appears correctly under Windows 2000's Notepad, whereas the diagrams original 386intel.txt appear corrupted.</p>
