Notes: Purpose ======= This program can be used for mass-creating directories. Additionally it also creates Active Directory groups, groups them and links them to the newly created directories, according to Microsoft's A-G-DL-P procedure. This will save Administrators while creating new directories if they want to follow Microsoft's A-G-DL-P procedure. Release 0.9.1 ============= - includes a bugfix for domains newly created with a Windows 2008 Server - has a new option for including / excluding Domain-Admins from the ACL to have full access Release 0.9.0 ============= - this is the first public release, so there aren't any enhances worth speaking of. :) Installation ============ Just put the exe and the ini file into the same directory. Then customize the ini file to your needs. Currently there are only two settings to make: DOMAIN --> this is your Active Directory domain to create the groups in DC --> this is the domain controller to use for connecting to the Active Directory Requirements ============ This program has been developed on Windows Vista and needs and installed .NET framework 2.0 with the latest Service Pack installed. It has been tested to run under Windows Vista Business 32bit and Windows XP Pro 32bit. On the server side it has been used within a native 2003 Active Directory domain. It has currently only been tested without any umlauts or mutations (Active Directory shouldn't be filled with these) so please only use A..Z for naming the groups. Also the program should run under the context of an user account with Domain-Admin privileges to be able to create all the necessary and selected AD groups. PLEASE USE THIS SOFTWARE WITH CARE BECAUSE IT CONNECTS TO AND MODIFIES ACTIVE DIRECTORY! PLEASE TRY IT IN A TEST ENVIRONMENT FIRST, FOR EXAMPLE ON A VIRTUAL MACHINE! THE AUTHOR OF THIS SOFTWARE DOESN'T TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG! USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
