File Release Notes and Changelog

Release Name: 1.0.96

Notes:
This version of Fwink is meant to resolve the issue of FTP getting stuck.
Also, the installer will automatically remove the previous version of
Fwink while installing the new one.

No other changes have been made.

Changes: 1.0.96: * Bug fix: FTP now has a 60-second timer to prevent transfers from getting stuck. * Bug fix: FTP no longer tries to initiate an upload while another upload is in progress. This was causing transfers to get suck. * Bug fix: The installer correctly removes previous versions of Fwink. I had to manually edit the MSI file with Orca. Hopefully I can automate this in the future. 0.9.95: * Bug fix: Allow user to select video capture device when multiple devices are present. * New feature: Use an image file instead of a camera. 0.9.9.2: * Added timeouts to FTP connection to prevent getting stuck. 0.9.9.1: * Includes new version of gdiplus.dll due to critical security flaw in JPEG processing. See Microsoft security bulletin (http://www.microsoft.com/security/bulletins/200409_jpeg.mspx). Windows 98/ME/2000 users must update Fwink to fix this vulnerability. Windows XP/2003 users must use Windows Update to fix this vulnerability, and do not need to update Fwink. * New feature: Crop captured image. 0.9.8.0: * New feature: Overlay. 0.9.7.2: * New feature: Disable timer. * Source code updated for DirectX 9.0 SDK Summer 2003 Update (Number of arguments for CCrossBar constructor changed). 0.9.7.1: * Bug fix: radio buttons on Remote Wonder plug-in configuration dialog did not work properly with the keyboard. 0.9.7.0: * New feature: ATI Remote Wonder plug-in. 0.9.6.0: * New feature: Save To File. Save your captured images to a file on your hard disk. * New feature: Disable FTP. Now you can completely disable file uploads. This is useful if you just want to save your images as files. * Now, Fwink will not erase its settings when you uninstall it. This makes it convenient to remove Fwink and keep your settings when you install a newer version. * Bug fix: The installer will now put the shortcuts in the correct Start Menu folder. Previously, it always used the "Programs" folder, which is correct only for English language users. 0.9.5.0: * New feature: Separate date and time. You can turn off the date or time in the time stamp. * New feature: Automated update checking. When you click on the "Fwink Home Page" button, it checks to see if a new version is available. If so, you get a quick link to download it. * New feature: Upload and Quit. If you supply the command-line argument "oneshot", Fwink will take one picture and then quit. The installer makes a shortcut that does this. 0.9.4.0: * New feature: position the text message and time stamp. There are nine positions to choose from. * New feature: slider control for JPEG quality. * New feature: turn text background on, off or translucent. * New feature: turn text drop shadow on or off. * Added a button that sends you to the Fwink home page. 0.9.3.0: * New feature: Passive FTP. * Fixed timing bug that caused hours to be equal to seconds. * Changed installer so it refuses to install on Windows NT 4.0. Fwink cannot run on that platform because it lacks DirectX 8. 0.9.2.4: * New feature: horizontal and vertical flip. * Dialogs re-sized to fit 480-pixel tall displays. 0.9.2.3: * First release.
