Notes: This release incorporates many user-suggested features as well as numerous other improvements. See changelog for details.
Changes: User suggested enhancements: Added field substitution tokens to the batch field update to permit batch modifications to field value that incorporate the existing value. Added a non-destructive batch copy from v1 to v2 ID3 tags (and vice versa). This will copy populated fields from one tag (e.g. ID3v1) into empty fields in another tag (e.g. ID3v2) for multiple files with one command. It will not, however, overwrite any fields that already contain data. Added support for ID3v2 track numbers in #/n format. For example, the track number can be input as 13/16 to indicate track number 13 on a CD containing 16 tracks. Only the track number will propagate to ID3v1 tags, since they cannot support more than one byte of track # data. The ID3v1 genre will no longer default to 0 (Blues), but instead to 255 (Unknown) which I hope is the right thing to do. Other enhancements: The order of columns in the main file listing (selected by dragging and dropping columns) is now remembered across sessions. The column selection dialog now has an option to disable auto-resize of columns (allows a horizontal scroll bar if the columns are made wider than the displayable area). If auto-resize is disabled, the column widths are remembered across sessions (column widths can be changed by click-dragging the divider between the column headers). The tag edit dialog has copy buttons for v1 and v2 fields, these work like the batch copy, where the data from populated fields will be duplicated in the corresponding field in the other tag if it is empty. Added a new file filter that hides files where the v1 and v2 tags match.
