Yes, we finally worked out what the bug was that was resulting in "Read error: -1" messages.  If you were getting this with 3.99x versions, you'll love this new release - I hope!

This release still simply doesn't work for some people - sorry about that!  If you're having this problem, you may have to stick with scanner-stable-2 until we work out exactly what the problem is.

UPDATE: Fixed file output problem and a typo - gotta stop releasing buggy code ;) (14/2/02 - V.D. Day)
UPDATE2: Really fixed this time, that last one was Simon's fault!

Changes:
* Fixed Read error -1 errors
* Made gamma correction optional
* Fixed image-size clipping bugs
