File Release Notes and Changelog
Release Name: Beta 4
Notes:
The emphasis of this release is the notion of MoviClips.
MoviClips are a little bit like play lists only that instead of having multiple movie files it has multiple scenes / selections from the movie that you will like to be played. These files are used to play the movie at a later time. This could be useful if
• You need multiple and different edited versions
• You are having difficulty in getting just the right edits because of key frame boundaries
• You would rather keep the original movie as well. Saves disk space in those cases since the MoviClip files are quite tiny. I apologize in advance, if disk space is not an issue for you and this benefit seems like a petty reason.
Changes:
Ability to save MoviClips - the editing points without editing the file
- Appropriate when multiple edit versions are needed
- Support .avi files for creating MoviClips. Editing is still not supported.
- Not recommended when reducing file size is the main goal
Advanced options enabled
- Force joining of incompatible mpeg files
- Frame accurate editing of .wmv / .asf files
Usability changes

- Reorganisation of the pull down menus
- Learning the tool - added text on the screen and tooltips to help the user get upto speed faster
- Removed selection logging as it was difficult to use
Player Enhancements
- Full Screen playback
- Auto repeat; Playing in a loop
Double clicking on MoviClip files will play these files
