Notes: Open PC-2Phone Dialer is a web-based backend powered by php and perl. Two easy-to-use drop-in style scritps allow a client to send phone numbers from a PC directly to any Cisco IP phone. Because the backend is web-based, clients can easily be writeen for a number of platforms. Never dial a number by hand again, copy numbers from web sites, email, address books, and instant messengers. Once the number has been sent to a cisco phone as user only need to lift the reciever, selct a line appearance, or press a softkey "Dial" button to ring the number. Open PC-2-Phone Dialer utilizes cgi execution on the IP directly and does not rely on Callmanager like Cisco Web Dialer does. Cisco Web Dialer also has a rather complicated API if you choose to integrate it. Open PC-2-Phone Dialer is very easy to use. It can be integrated into any software. A simple "proof-of-concept" Win32 client is included in the distribution package. Although it works well, it is far from ready for prime-time.
