Notes: This is hopefully the last version before version 1.00. There is a feature freeze for this version, so version 1.00 will look like this version plus some bugfixes. This version should be pretty stable, I use it without problems. Users are invited to try this version and report problems. There are four major new features since 0.96: - TikZ can now do trees reasonably well. - pgf now can draw so-called snakes. This includes coils and braces. - pgf now has layering. This is mainly useful for fancy backgrounds. - pgf now has pretty good svg support. The html/svg version of the manual is a demonstration of how good (or bad) that works. The svg-support is still a bit of a proof of concept since text inside pictures is only tolerated if it is *really* simple. This is mainly a problem of the svg specification. Happy tikzing, Till
Changes: 2005-09-08 Till Tantau <tantua@users.sourceforget.net> Version 0.97: - Reorganised directory structure of documentation. - Added tree mechanism. - Added snake mechanism. - Added layer mechanism. - Added new shapes: cross out, strike out, forbidden sign. - Added some more documentation. - Added "none" drawing and filling colors. - Added pgflibrarytikzbackgrounds. - Changed syntax of \pgfqbox. - Changed syntax of several \pgfsys@xxxx commands. - Added SVG support / a tex4ht backend. (Complicated text inside svg graphics is not supported well, but that's mainly a shortcoming of the svg specification.)
