Notes: 11 Mar 2005 - Fixed the N_HDLC fix - it was doing it the wrong way around. Added updated Portuguese from João M. S. Silva. More fixes for get_usb() - not all controllers (eg, ALi) report their type. ################################################################################################# # Rewrite of the script. While most of the code is the same as before, every line # has been checked. (http://speedtouchconf.sourceforge.net/history.shtml should explain why this # script was so haphazard previously) # Feedback, particularly from Billy Huang, has been incorporated (sorry Billy, I've still not # got around all that hotplug stuff yet) # Version has been updated to 2.0 ################################# Whilst this new release is basically just a tidyup, it adds a couple of new things: - Checks for ppp_generic, ppp_synctty (these are *always* builtins, but the new code makes it easier to allow for the possibility of them being modules) - Slightly smarter handling of usbfs/usbdevfs. - Smarter loading of *hci* modules, and mounting of /proc/bus/usb filesystem - No longer umounts /proc/bus/usb when shut down (no need) - /etc/init.d/speedtouch stop / start / stop / start should work now - never unloads the microcode. -Changes made to help startup on Slackware, based on feedback received from Thoralf Dassler (untested). ################################################################################################# 12 Mar 2005 - Initial BETA release of 2.0 BETA 1
