Notes:
1.0d8 fixes two problems.  The MacOS X component will now work on both Jaguar (10.2.x) and Panther (10.3.x) systems.
There was a problem in the tag parsing code in 1.0d7 on MacOS X and MacOS 9.
The problem did not exist in the Windows version.  Please continue to use the 1.0d7 release for Windows.

Changes:
* Compile MacOS X component so it works on both Jaguar and Panther.
* Fix a problem with tag parsing on MacOS X and MacOS 9.  Empty tags or tags that were not properly UTF-8 encoded would trigger this problem.
