File Release Notes and Changelog

Release Name: warheadAlpha12-15-03

Notes: WarHead Alpha Version. Do not run this on a production server. There is very little error checking and this version is only for testing purposes. I strongly advise setting up a phpNuke site on a LAMP development server to test this Alpha version on. I am currently testing against phpNuke version 6.9 running on Redhat 9 with MySQL 3.23.54. Here are some of the features that I have planned for the WarHead GUI. My main concentration is on the editing of the stories and studying the Nuke code right now, so that I mimic all of the updates to the DB. After that module is completed the add stories should be easy to implement. I have used the QT text edit class for the text boxes so I can implement select text and click a toolbar button to create the html tags for bold, site links, email links and other html tags. A pop up editor for the main story text for a larger edit view would be a good thing. I also would like to implement a spell check for both edit boxes for the stories. I think ISpell should do this. For the translation feature I am thinking about using KBabel. I have a good program flow with the phpNuke code so this project should be rather quick to develop. Another idea that I have been throwing around is to syntax highlight the edit boxes for PHP and HTML I might be able to link the Kate code or the KDevelop code to do this. Why re-invent the wheel when the libraries are already there. The QT DB classes have a PostgreSQL and an Oracle driver so that is another feature for the future. The main vision for the WarHead project is to have a GUI for phpNuke that is fast, intuitive and as easy to use as possible.

Changes: Edit Story Text and change the settings for stories that are already posted onto a phpNuke Site.
