Happy new year!
I spent my Christmas break rewriting GPLTrans. Unfortunately, I felt the old code is not extensible enough and had way too many stability issues to be of any use. This new code base should be clear enough to use. There is also decent documentation in progress for the API and a set of coding guidelines (see the doc/ directory in the source tree).
