Notes: A motion is said to be Simple Harmonic in nature if it takes place under the effect of a force which is directely proportional to its displacement and directed such that to restore it to its original position. Examples of these kinds of motion are motion of a pendulum, motion of a particle attached to the end of a spring and many others. These motions repeat themselves after certain time intervals called the Time Period. This length of time is determined by the mass of the particle, stiffness of the spring, and even the value of Pi. Using experimental sutups like these to calculate Pi may be ridiculous but it may be possible to construct a virtual experiment like this to determine the value of Pi. Any High School leaving science student should be able to understand the method of numerical integration used in the code.
