8layer Technologies, Inc. (http://www.8layertech.com/) is an Open Source company with a lean team of 15 employees. From the onset, 8layer has made it a point to encapsulate liberation. To us, this is a way of life that lets us enjoy our work and make it our contribution and legacy. Ours is a technology bound to Open Source and is geared to open minds of individuals and enterprises. During the 4 years, we are struggling, surviving and still is wanting of our ultimate goal... to build and endeavor a school that will teach the culture that we embrace -- freedom, liberation, Open Source. And we acknowledge that even with a company that is quickly building a name in our home country, the income that we receive is not enough; we are still far from that dream. That is why we seek out generous hands who believe in what we sincerely hold closest in our hearts -- a way to impart, share and teach young minds what we have learned from Open Source.
