Donations to RegexKit and RegexKitLite are always appreciated, particularly if either is used in a commercial, for-profit product.
All monies go to the author of the projects, John Engelhart, to help offset the considerable, and otherwise uncompensated, time that is spent in providing this software for the community free of charge.
In general, students, university / educational users, non-profit organizations, and other not-for-profit open source projects should not feel obligated to make a donation.
