This program uses multiple GUI windows built with Perl/Tk. I've been working on two different versions of this project: 1. The freely available Ptax2001: Which is an up date from Lisa Koch's Ptax98. This program calculates and prints to a pdf 1040EZ tax form. 2. A tax package used for tax professionals, which will include client data storage and file output using XML. Project start date: June 2001 The project can be viewed at the project web site at <http://tenforty.sourceforge.net> Utilities: Portfolio manager This utility keeps a portfolio in perspective by using initial objectives. The user must enter their portfolio objective based upon their risk tolerance. The portfolio manager then compares the purchase and sales of the individual's securities and updates his portfolio's breakdown. Objective: To keep an individuals portfolio within their optimum perspective. Project start date: March 2001 Completed: March 2001 Past employers: Self employed 1987 - 1998 I had operated a custom concrete construction company in which it had employed up to four people. I had used this as my financial income while I taught myself computer skills. I was in charge the office aspects including; client billing, job planning, bidding, and invoicing. This also allowed me to build up enough capital to enter into the computer programing field. Community Services: Greenwood Senior service center; 1999 Created database for controlling employees and employers who use the "Job Bank" services at the center. Seattle Symphony; 1999 Fund raiser for the construction of the Beneroya Hall. Being fond of Symphonic music I enjoyed the opportunity to both help the symphony while being able to attend their performances.
