Help Wanted - PowerFolder P2P File Sync is seeking for java developers

PowerFolder - Sync Files, Sync Folders, Remote Storage, Backup and Private File Sharing. Sync home and office PC, share holiday pictures or work together on documents. PowerFolder's secure peer-to-peer technology works over the Internet or in LAN.



We are seeking for INTERESTED and talented developers who

will implement new features and fix bugs in various parts of the application.

Responsibilities:

- Maintenance of existing application code including buxfixing and refactorings.

- Implementation of new features.

- Participation in QA for the PowerFolder application.



Requirements:

- Excellent knowledge in the areas of Java networking, file handling and Swing.

- Experienced with Eclispe IDE and in working with Subversion.

- Strong communication skills.

- Professional attitude.

- Reliability, availability at release dates.

- Good English language skills.

- Excellent team-working skills.

- Excellent autonomy.

- A strong motivation and a high level of commitment are required.



Plusses:

- Experience with Java development for other platforms like Linux, Mac OS, etc.



Please read those requirements carefully, we only accept applies from those who really want to help creating an excellent program, which is stable and easy to handle for end users. Additionally you should be able to create clean and good documented code. We expect you to offer a reasonable amount of your free time to the team. Before applying you should think about if you have the time to invest in this project. We don't expect anyone to handle this project priority to private or work life, but at least a couple of hours a week should be minimum.
