My new machine has a pair of SSD drives, as well as being quad core and is much
faster than the old one. The result is that on this machine, Zyn is much closer
to Yoshimi for processor usage and xrun behaviour.
However, there is still a considerable difference when loading voice patches -
not visible time wise - which is now very fast for both - but in the fact that
if I have a continuous sound on ch1 and switch voices in ch2 Zyn gives me xruns
when going to the more complex patches, but I get none at all with Yoshimi.
Jack is running with 5.8mS latency.
On a side issue, as I've not used Zyn for a while now I find the layout of the
upper part of the main window looks extremely clunky, especially Master Volume,
Fine Detune and that *huge* Panic button.

Exchange them and we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.
