Multiple jack outputs. e.g. An output for each part. Crucial for use with DAWs like ardour

Altough I think that unfortunately everyone left this forum, I would like to say that I made some efforts on creating separate outputs for each channel. (With not much luck yet because I don't really know the JACK API yet.) But I really would like to see this feature in this program, and I really need it because I haven't seen any other softsynths that are so customizable as this.

Although not essential for my work. This is something I would also like to see.

Perhaps I will try to find a solution to this issue if I can figure out how to get JACK to cooperate with my sound card.
(Currently I cannot seem to find a combination of settings which let JACK start without many x-runs)

  • Another way to use zyn is to simply open more instances of the synth, each with different parameters, it may be more flexible for use with a sequencer (although a bit complicated to setup... I don't use LASH, but it may be the solution to the problem).
But I think that we probably need a DSSI version of zyn (I know that there is a compile option in the makefile, but I don't think it works), it would be easier to automate everything as well. But of course, the priority is to make zyn work well as a standalone, adding features etc.

Now with MIDI comming to Ardour, a solution on how to use a single instance of Zyn on many tracks becomes important. I normally use different instances but that gets cumbersome fast.
