system: Gentoo, KDE 3.5, zynaddsubfx 2.4:

1) cosmetic: Panel window not correct drawn upon activation when switching Workplaces:
When the panel window is open but another application window is in front (i.e. muse, see screenshot) and switching on another workplace, then when switching back by clicking on the "ZynAddSubFX Panel" in the window bar, only the level meter is redrawn but not the rest of its window.

2) cosmetic: Modifications in panel window are not reflected simultaneously in the main window:
Modifications (pan/volume) done in the panel window are not updated into the main window. When clicking "edit" in the panel window on another instrument, then back to the previous, the sliders/controllers will be correct.

Discussion

  • Activating the panel window from other workplace

  • After submitting i found the first error is a MUSE error, not a zynaddsubfx problem.
Window got redrawn correctly but muse paints its background directly on it.
However, 2nd. problem is valid. Sorry

The main reason for this issue is that zyn does not have much in the way of 'events' at the current moment, so getting things to sync up is a bit difficult. This is being fixed on a larger scale in one of the development branches. As it is mainly cosmetic, I think it should be ok for it to wait for that system to finish it's implementation. Thanks for reporting the issue, so that this issue will be sure to be corrected when the new system is in place.
