    I'm trying to use ZWAMP for developing a Wordpress web site, but when I try to
    open wp-admin/wp_install.php I get the following error: "Your PHP installation
    appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress."

    Running the PhpInfo tool says is alilve and well. I do have a wordpress
    database set up in mysql. Maybe there's something wrong with the mysql
    wordpress database? Or is there really some extension missing from the ZWAMP
    implementation of mysql that is needed by wordpress?

    As you can tell, I'm new to this...

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Z-WAMP's comes with all the necessary PHP extensions. You might want to direct
    your queries to an appropriate WordPress forum.

      Don't you think that wordpress users have enough problems, it would have been simpler to answer that the line in php.ini
      extension=php_mysql.dll has to be uncommented..
      Make it active in removing the # at the beginning and restart the zwamp through the icon at the bottom right of the screen
      the php.ini is to be found in the Z drive .. that is in c:\zwamp\vdrive.sys\php if c:\zwamp is the directory of your installation
      beware that this files may be hidden .. (I don't know why but that another problem..)
