    I downloaded Z-WAMP and started the server, but the URL rewrite thingy from
    Apache doesn't seem to work.

    When I go to localhost/phpinfo I see it appears to be active, but I get 404
    errors in my scripts :(

    Also, I can't edit the php.ini file or httpd.conf from the z-wamp menu,
    because it says they are missing and wants to create them. But if I browse to

    Z:\.sys\php\

    and

    Z:\.sys\apache2\

    I see them there.

    Apache mod_rewrite is enabled by default. Do you have a CD/DVD/hard drive
    emulation software like WinCDEmu, or Daemon Tools running? Have you tried a
    reboot?

    yes, I do have Virtual CloneDrive, but it's not taking the "Z" letter, it's
    using "E"
