This bug is has been pushed upstream from an ubuntu bug located at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zsnes/+bug/346155. I will copy the body of the bug, there are debugging attachments that may come of assistance that are located in the Ubuntu bug report. If you need me to I will try to upload them.
