What does the quality of monitor mode depend on?
Is it possible to improve the quality or does it depend on the firmware?
Is anybody working on the firmware or is it only changed by zydas?

I doubt someone of the open community is working on the firmware, especially
docs and specs for the chipset has been not disclosed for wider audience.
The quality of what's being received in monitor mode can be, however,
improved. I noticed there's no check for CRC bugs in the "receiving" code,
and when you put one, you'll get less messed up packets. But the check seems
to be imperfect somehow, because still noticeable amount of spoiled packets
(or parts of packets) flow. One solution is to grab the CRC tail with the
rest of the packet, and calculate checksum off-line. For me, that discards
something like 30% data more.
I was also able to force the card to listen in monitor mode on selected

monitor mode, but since I find the "sending" code less straightforward than
