  • Hello.
    I allready have an SMTP/POP3/IMAP server and I want to be able to access it through a web page too.

    How is the easiest way to remove the server name & port number from the login screen and connect directly to my server?

    Should I use another application for this, or is yawebmail apropriate to do this task just as fine as others?

    Thanks,
    Andrei

      Hi,
      the above link seems broken

      Anyway, I was trying to make hidden the from field in createMail.jsp with a default value like this:

      <h:inputText id="from" value="#{smtpConnectionBean.smtp}@mydomain.com"
                              required="true" styleClass="largeInputField"/>

      seems ok when editing but an error occurs when sending the mail.

      Any help?

      bye

      romano

        Hi,

        > the above link seems broken

        it is. Since some website-refactoring the new link is now:
        http://yawebmail.sourceforge.net/smtp_properties.html

        > #{smtpConnectionBean.smtp}

        there is no "getSmtp()" in SmtpConnectionBean, so your code cannot work.

        Did you mean #{smtpConnectionBean.smtpAuthUser} ?

        Best regards
        Stephan

      > Did you mean #{smtpConnectionBean.smtpAuthUser} ?

      Yes, sorry. I mean that. Anyway the error is about the concatenation of #{smtpConnectionBean.smtpAuthUser} with the domain part of the address ( @mydomain.com ).

      An option like

      force-from-as-auth-user: true

      that make the job should be useful :-) instead of editing a jsp page ;-)

      Thank's,

      Romano
