We are now working in basic network support. That would be be awsome when it's done. The current CVS version doesn't compile yet (module yarp2), but it will soon, and we will be able to try it online.
There are no news since a long time, so I wanted to tell you folks that we are still working, and a new release will be available soon.
This demo shows BSP loading feature. Now all level loaders are plugins, so you can load any level format without much changes in the source.
The level is bigger than usual and has a variety of textures. Send any comment/suggestion to: email@example.com.
This new demo adds basic support for Quake3-like shaders. I am now working on the missing features.
With shaders you may change the settings of the rendering pipeline to achieve amazing effects. Take a look at q3ase (Quake 3 Arena Shader Editor) at http://users.chello.be/sf15772/q3ase.html and learn how to make your own special effects
(NOTE: only a subset of the entire funcionality will be implemented for the time being)
We also removed collision detection routines that slowed down everything (they will be
added again later), so performance should be increased... even with shaders working!
The main feature of this demo is the ability to display menus, and to show an overlayed hud during the game... now we need ideas about menus & hud!!
