I don't use Perl myself, so I only skimmed these articles. Doing just that, I didn't see anything in them that would change my attitude about multi-line comments. As I suggested in my previous post, there are times when multi-line comments are more convenient, but they are too often abused. In the words of Peter Parker's grandfather, "with great power comes great responsibility." To date, all the cases where I can see using a multi-line comment safely, single line comments would suffice as well, so... in general, and with YAML in particular, I don't see a reason to tempt with multi-line comments. As regards Perl specifically, I can't comment on it since I don't work with it.
