Hi,

the censoring function with which you can the board
make erase words you don't want to be seen also
modifies Urls
so that they do not work anymore if they contain a
censored word or expression.

That should not be.

Thorsten

So, as long as I swear in a URL it's alright? Either don't
censor too much or censor how much you want...

I don't see this as a bug, and YaBB SE is no longer being
developed anyway. (for more information, see
    www.simplemachines.org)

Is not further developed? What a pity!

URLs must not be modified by censoring functions. Per
accident, they might contain strings that are identical to
    words to be censored.

    An example:

    The URL
    http://www.grass-is-green.com

    should not be turned into:
    http://www.gr\*-is-green.com

The link won't work anymore, understandably.

What is a bug if not this?

    Then enable whole word checking....

Thanks for your answer but it is not really a solution.

In German, words can be concatenated without spaces and
blanks and can contain the offending words to be censored.
They would not be filtered properly anymore.

In my eyes, the only solution is not to touch URLs by the
censoring function. But since the software isn't developed
anymore, close my request and forget about it.

Have a nice Christmas and a happy new year!
