    Hi Guys,

my fresh installation of Xymon runs really smooth but there´s big trouble using the alerts!

I already configured the alerts.cfg with a client to test:
    HOST=test123 SERVICE=conn,disk,memory
    MAIL mymailaddress@provider.com

Problem is: There are no emails reaching my mail address.

    The alert.log says:

    2013-09-10 11:00:03 Terminated by signal 15
2013-09-10 11:04:19 Peer not up, flushing message queue
    sh: 1: mail: not found
    sh: 1: mail: not found

What is meant by this sh: 1: mail: ?? > The xymon server itself is able to send email successfully, i tested that out. Postfix seems to be fine.
Do i have to configure something else in Xymon?

    notification.log says:

    Tue Sep 10 13:45:59 2013 test123.conn (131.xxx.xxx.xx) mymailaddress@provider.com[127] 1378813559 500

Looks like there is something trying to send email(?)

Would be really really cool if someone finds out whats wrong with my xymon.

    Regards,

    Freeman

    Okay SOLVED IT:

mailutils was missing on my Ubuntu machine.

Just install it: apt-get install mailutils

Now it´s working like a charm!
