Mark, I've had a further look at the xwax project and it looks great, nice work. I might get a chance to download it and give it a go tonight (Perth time GMT+8) if you can provide me with or point me to the ALSA patch. I think that going down the xwax path looks much more promising that going down the wine path. Very interesting that the Serato interface is (likely) simply a couple of pre-amps and soundcards. My decks (Stanton STR8-150s) actually have a RCA line out, so luckily for me even the pre-amps aren't necessary :-) Btw, I wonder if there's some way to get away with only one audio interface (as is the case with most laptops) by sending say the left deck time coded signal on the left stereo channel, and likewise right deck time coded signal on the right stereo channel? This is assuming the time code signal is only mono but I don't know if that's the case. Except I just realised that getting 2x stereo output from a normal soundcard would be a problem duh. Just an idea though.
