Thanks very much for g/xvicap. Would it be possible in future versions to include some sort of keypress and mousebutton display. This way in tutorials people could see that you were pressing ctrl-shift-a and pressing the middle mouse button as an example. I have had several people ask me about this after watching demos I have made with gvidcap.

sounds like a sensible RFE (Request for enhancement). Could you please file?
Hi, wouldn't it be possible to create a standalone X application which changes mouse cursor to "Click" or "CTRL+SHIFT+a" when the button/keys are pressed? I think it would be better to create simple, standalone application than trying to integrate it with gvidcap. What do you think?
A stand alone app sounds like a good idea. I had a quick google, there are some key loggers out there in linux (Sebek, Linux Key Logger) - but hard to find them amongst the proliferation of ads selling key logging spy tools to windows users. Wouldn't be too much work to recreate them so they sends it to some sort of graphical output - wonder if someone hasn't alread done this.
Is somewhat depressing reading all those ads hyping up the notion of spying on family/wife/kids/roommates!
