David, That was it! I am on a RHEL 3 ( Redhat ) box and using their Redhat Application server. They have a choice of the java-ibm or the java-bea and I think I can also install a Sun java manually and make it available. Do you think I should do that -- the statsIndexer looks like it would have the same problem? I can do a search now it brings up the results, but when I click on a title to browse, it gives this error: ---------- Servlet Error: FileNotFound An unexpected servlet error has occurred. Message: /usr/share/tomcat5/webapps/xtf/index/lazy/default/pr/ft158004pr/ft158004pr.xml.lazy (Permission denied) Stack Trace: ... ----------- what owner and permissions should the xtf files be?
