Would it be possible to have a command history in the xsh shell? At least, xsh should not print strange characters when pressing the up-arrow

So I wonder why it is not working in my case.

I am running xsh on ubuntu edgy. The package has been compiled with dh-make-perl and no modifications.

This bug is invalid, sorry for the noise. My system was lacking the libterm-readline-gnu-perl package which unfortunately was neither depended upon nor suggested by the xsh deb package created with dh-make-perl.
