Hello,

I cant see to find any documentation on the bulk e-mail
/ templates feature. Can anyone point me at
information on what kind of variables I can use in
these mail merges and bulk e-mails?

Thanks,
Ilan

At this stage you can't add variables in the bulk email feature
(as far as I have been able to figure out).

    I guess you are after:

    "Dear $saluation $first_name $last_name,"

    type stuff.

However, there should be a pretty simple code hack to get it
to work - i think using eval() over the email text and putting
in DB variables might work (though it is very dirty).

Tell me exactly what you want to do (ie post a couple of
templates) and I will have a look at it when i get time.

    Nic,

Thank you for your reply. That is exactly what I was hoping
for. The fields I was thinking are: Salutation, First
Name, Last name, and Company name.

    So for example:
    "Dear $FIRSTNAME $LASTNAME ,

We would like to invite you and the rest of the $COMPANYNAME
    to BLAH BLAH BLAH....
    "

If I can be of any help with this please let me know. XRMS
has saved me a lot of work over the last few months we've
    been using it.

    Thanks,
    Ilan
