Well, I play mostly quake3 mods... urban terror, vq3,
defrag, proball, navy seals, etc... the mod I play the
most is urban terror, so my favorites list is filled
only with urban terror servers, so I am suggesting the
ability to create and rename favorite lists! I know I
know, I could use filters, but filters are in a hard
place to reach (everytime I wanna change gotta go to
the menu, and I hate it)

It's on our list, but I'm not sure when / if it will be
added. It's something I've wanted for a long time too.

There should be other changes happening to the master lists
such as support for server side filtering. During this
change, maybe it can be implemented (?).

server side filtering? how does that work? do quake3 master
    server protocols have that feature?

Half-Life does, and I think Tribes does too. Not sure if
any other game does. Q3 does not.

For HL, this would allow you to pull down a small list of
servers that you are interested in, instead of 30,000.

ok, on the subject of server-side filtering, why not make a
master server um... server! ... ok, lemme explain, most of u
have seen the competition, and you know I'm talking about
All seeing eye, they have servers that scan on their own,
and clients get the server-side filtering for any game
through the scan servers... why not make a linux version of
this? an xqf master server daemon or something that scans
servers every few minutes and also reports themselvs to some
web application on the xqf website where xqf clients can
retrieve new scan server lists... of course if none are
available just do things the old-fashioned way... we would
all benefit from something like this :)

i agree. multiple favorites would allow you to easily focus
on a certain game type or mod. i'd love this.

A comment for the 'master server': This would be a great
idea, but the problem would be hosting it. The 'competition'
charges for their software, so they can afford to have a
    dedicated server and bandwidth.

Can I just add that I too would love to see multiple
favorites added purely for the reason of clan gaming. I'm
given many ips and passwords a week where as the passwords
will change I need to keep the ips for future matches. The
problem is just adding all these to my favorites clogs it up
    alot.

If there were at least two favorites, one for public
favorite servers, one for private & match servers I would be
    very greatful.

I play Enemy Territory and love what you've done so far with
XQF but am not bothered about server side filtering.

    Thanks, Neil
