XPlanner - Project Manager Change

I've enjoyed developing XPlanner and having the opportunity to
interact with many people in the XP/Agile community worldwide.
However, my "day job" situation has changed recently and I will not
have the time available to properly lead the project.

I am very happy to announce that Jacques Morel is the new project
manager and lead developer for the XPlanner project. Jacques has been

This version requires no database schema updates.

XPlanner 0.5.1 Released

Bug Fixes:
- Modified Hiberate script to use datetime instead of timestamp in MySQL
(causing time entry problems)
- Fixed loading approach for security configuration file.
- Removed unneeded deletes from 0.4 -> 0.5 SQL upgrade script
- Added servlet.jar to import.tomcat.users Ant target in case ServletException is thrown
- Javascript issue that sometimes caused duplicate note submissions
- Fixed an bug that didn't allow non-admins to change their password.

XPlanner 0.5 released

XPlanner 0.5 provides several new features and improvements. Authentication is now integrated and allows editing of roles and passwords using the XPlanner user interface. Attachments can now be included in notes. The navigation menu has been augmented with a tree-view of the context of a story, task, etc. An "all tasks" view of the iteration has been added with tasks being color coded according to their current status to assist in planning and tracking. I18N bugs have been fixed and some of the language resource bundles have been updated. Several other bug fixes are included in this release along with additional unit and functional tests.

XPlanner 0.4 Released

The XPlanner 0.4 release contains several significant enhancements. The external enhancements include graphical project statistics, a distributed integration "token" for managing deliveries by distributed teams, more flexible time reporting (allows pure duration in addition to time intervals), increased control over project visibility (projects can be hidden/shown by admins), updated I18N resource bundles, and numerous bug fixes. Internally, XPlanner has been upgraded to Struts 1.1 and now uses the Hibernate O/R mapping engine. XPlanner now also includes a growing set of JWebUnit-based "acceptance" tests to complement it's existing unit tests.

XPlanner 0.3.6 Released

XPlanner is a web-based project planning and tracking tool for eXtreme Programming (XP) teams. XPlanner is implemented using Java, JSP, and Struts, and MySQL (user contributed support for PostgreSQL and Oracle).

This version reverts a change that caused a major bug in version 0.3.5. The bug resulting in the inability to save updated objects to the database (although objects could be inserted successfully).

XPlanner 1.1.1

This release improves the database installation support. See the web site for details. The software also automatically initializes it's object identity table to avoid an id-related problem some people were having. A draft version of the Spanish language resource bundle has also been added.
