Xournal is excellent. Here's one small thing that might make it even better: When I enter text, then export to pdf, then display that file in another pdf display program, and try to copy that new text, that text is garbled. It appears to be a 1-1 mapping. E.g.,
If I type 'Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute', than copy it, I get '6IRWWIPEIV 4SP]XIGLRMG -RWXMXYXI'. It's clear that xournal is using some odd font mapping. Is there a way to standardize this?

Thanks.

This is an issue with the code used to embed TrueType fonts into PDF files. Use a postscript Type 1 font instead of a TrueType font. (For example the "URW ..." family of fonts).
Or try File -> Print -> Print to file -> PDF in case it works better (it uses different code to generate the PDF).

Version 0.4.8 should fix this problem.
