Is it possible to use truetype/anti-aliased fonts on XDarwin? If so, how? if not, is this a planned feature?
Torrey T. Lyons
With XFree86 4.1.0 and newer, it is possible to use anti-aliased fonts with any X client that uses the Render extension. Older versions of XFree86 on Darwin/Mac OS X do not support this feature. To use an anti-aliased font with xterm use the -fa and -fs options. For example, try
xterm -fa courier -fs 12 &
There are equivalent X resources to -fa and -fs so you can make xterm use an antialiased font all the time. See "man xterm" for more info.
