1.0.4 works well for me in rootless mode.
When was the shape extention added? It makes my bootleg aqua sawfish theme look
Anyone have an aqua gtk theme that works
with current releases?

It's been added several times in the past few weeks, but each time something was broken so it didn't work. The current implementation, which seems to have everything worked out, was posted late Monday night.
SHAPE extension works now, but resizing a window is still poor compared to the XDarwin 0.5 rootless patch. Window shading a wmaker window is also still slow (which may be related to the first problem).
The cursor also does a dissapearing trick which is very peculiar. If I click on anything X11 from another OS X app in one monitor it dissapears in that monitor only, and appears in the other (if I move it there). Thus if I am in Explorer and I click on anything X11 in monitor 1, the cursor is only visible in monitor 2 and vice versa.
One work-around for getting over the cursor bug is to make X11 change the cursor, like dragging a window. After that the cursor will appear in both monitors until you switch to a non-X11 app, then you'll have to do it all over again.
the SHAPE extension was slightly better implemented in XDarwin 0.5 rootless patch. The shape of the XDarwin 0.5 rootless non-rectangular windows' corresponding CG surfaces were also non-rectangular, thus the dropshadow would follow the correct shape. In XDarwin 1.0.4 the CG surface shape is sometimes rectangular when it shouldn't be. For example the baloon help in wmaker's preferences.
xteddy appears to have the same shape, but for some reason the CG surface shape starts out as a rectangle, then after a long delay it's changed to the correct shape.
When the xteddy window is spawned in my secondary monitor it's black. If I spawn it in between monitors (typing xteddy -geometry +1000) half of it is correct and the other half is black.
The delay I mentioned before isn't actually a delay. The dropshadow remains rectangular until any X11 window updates. Thus if I run xteddy, the drop shadow will correct if I type something in an xterm.
xeyes has the same 'black if started in secondary monitor' issue, but doesn't have the 'starts out with rectangular dropshadow' issue.
This bears rehashing...
When moving rectangular windows the whole window gets updated even on 'accelerated' screens when this shouldn't happen. Moving rectangualr windows would be a lot smoother if this were fixed.
