Hi!
Since the current implementation of XDarwin is part of
the XFree distribution, I think, this is a good place
to post the "bug report":
The installer does not work when the path to the
download location contains spaces (" ").
In my case the Volume name had a space in it.
So, anyone who has a (non-root) partition named
"Macintosh HD" or "Classic HD" might experience the
same problem.

A simple workaround is to use /private/tmp,
but I still consider this a bug in the installer.

Greetings, iSee

I am getting an odd error when I startup as well.

    the console displays:

    No core keyboard

    Fatal server error:
    failed to initialize core devices
    OsVendorFatalError
    AbortDDX
    Quitting XDarwin...

I wonder if this has to do with the space in the installation patition. On another machine, I installed 4.1.0 and don't get this problem at startup. Then again, it seemed to install without any problem.

Good catch about the space in the path to the installer
location. I'll put it on the list to work on for the next
version as spaces are fairly common on Darwin/Mac OS X.

Unfortunately the "No core keyboard" error is a red herring.
Your XDarwin session has already failed by the time you see
this incorrect error. The real reason things went wrong is
farther up in the console message. (This misleading error is
something else that it would be nice to fix in the future.)

You might retry your install without a space in the
installer's path. If you still get a failure, please post the
full console log from the first XDarwin messages onward to
the Help Forum or Support Request and we'll see if we can
    make sense of it.
