I assume you are running on pure Darwin. This is a real problem. Apple only occasionally makes updates to their binary only Darwin drivers. In the meantime when new machines are released drivers are not released for pure Darwin. If you have downloaded and installed the latest binary only drivers for Darwin, then you should complain to Apple and/or on the Darwin Developers mailing list. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to provide drivers that Apple does not provide.
Note that if you have a copy of Mac OS X, you can copy everything from /System/Library/Extensions/, which includes all the video drivers, to your pure Darwin partition.
