XNotesNG V4.0 Officially Released

XNotesNG V4.0

XNotesNG is the next generation of XNotesPlus, a full features Personal Information Manager. XNotesPlus was written in C using GTK+ with integrated tools and no API. XNotesNG is a plugin extensible, Java application utilizing the SWT widget set to support cross-platform desktop integration.

XNotesNG is plugin driven, with plugin applications including the Todo Manager, Calendar Manager, Category Manager and extensive notes system, including features such as search text, printing, alarms, date and calendar inserts, and categorization by colored projects, etc.

This release is the initial port of the primary plugins to the new architecture. The goal is stability in the core and standard plugins in order to begin development of more advanced desktop features.

XNotesNG may be downloaded from SourceForge:

Packages are available for major Linux distributions in both RPM and .deb formats as well as a source tar ball. A wiki and blog are also available:
