Proxsi 0.2 released

Proxsi 0.2 has been released.

Proxsi is a lightweight and very easy to use HTTP proxy server. It has the specific purpose of gathering XMLSysInfo output over the network on behalf of HTTP clients. This way, it provides access to system information gathered by XSI to technologies where HTTP is either more convenient or the only choice. Proxsi is part of the XMLSysInfo project.

This maintenance release comes with a few cosmetic fixes, as well as some changes that improve maintainability. Also, two bugfixes from libevent SVN were incorporated into the version shipped with Proxsi.... read more

XMLSysInfo 1.0-beta2 released

XMLSysInfo 1.0-beta2 has been released.

XMLSysInfo (XSI) is a system monitoring daemon for BSD, Linux and Solaris operating systems. It replies to network queries with vital system information and statistics in an easily parsed XML format.

The 3rd beta release of XMLSysInfo is all about cleanup and other janitorial work. The build system and the documentation received most of the attention, and XSI's chattiness has been reduced to a minimum. A minor reliability fix concerning signals and another about Linux sensors also went into this release.... read more

Proxsi 0.1 released

The first release of Proxsi, version 0.1, has been released.

Proxsi is a lightweight and very easy to use HTTP proxy for XMLSysInfo. It proxies XSI requests for HTTP clients.

XMLSysInfo 1.0-beta1 has been released.

XMLSysInfo (XSI) is a system monitoring daemon for BSD, Linux and Solaris operating systems. It replies to network queries with vital system information and statistics in an easily parsed XML format.

This minor bugfix release resolves an issue with bogus output on NetBSD due to an uninitialized array. Some changes in 1.0-beta0 broke the fuzzer, which has been fixed. There also were a few small documentation tweaks.... read more

XMLSysInfo 1.0-beta0 has been released.

XMLSysInfo (XSI) is a system monitoring daemon for BSD, Linux and Solaris operating systems. It replies to network queries with vital system information and statistics in an easily parsed XML format.

With the file release on January 10th, 2007, XMLSysInfo's development status has been changed to "beta". This means that the XML Schema used to define valid output is now frozen and no more changes other than important bug fixes will happen to it.
