Hi, See XMLdbGUI at: http://titanium.dstc.edu.au/xml/xmldbgui/ <http://titanium.dstc.edu.au/xml/xmldbgui/> We use it with the XML:DB support in our product. Jeff -----Original Message----- From: xml...@li... [mailto:xml...@li...] On Behalf Of Mladen Adamovic Sent: Tuesday, September 21, 2004 8:42 AM To: xml...@li... Subject: [Xmldb-org-general] UI and GUI for XML:DB implementation I hope I am on the right place to ask. I made XML:DB implementation (API) but I need also some user interface do perform common things like creating collections, querying... you must know what I'm talking about. I looked at Xindice, dbXML, and eXist. dbXML and eXist have some GUI but they use their own function. Even Xindice's command line tool use Xindice's classes, and it don't look scalable. It would be nice that we could have GUI tool and that all XML:DB implementation can use that "reference GUI tool". Maybe dbXML and eXist authors don't want to share their Swing GUI with the rest, I must say. I understand them. We programmers, as we might know, must to earn something, someway. About that "money thing"... it may be the reason why XML:DB looks like obsolete project, with its broken site http://www.xmldb.org/ <http://www.xmldb.org/> . <http://www.xmldb.com> Many XML native database product claim to have XML:DB comformance, but in fact many of them try not to use XML:DB, in the most things. _____ Do you Yahoo!?
